The Necessary Death of Lewis Winter is the first novel in the Glasgow Trilogy by author Malcolm Mackay. Calum Maclean is hired by Peter Jamieson as a hitman to take down Lewis Winter, a small time drug dealer who has been making the wrong type of moves believing he is backed up bigger people.
This book is a great gangster novel. It is set in the Glasgow underworld which Mackay writes about really well.
