Book Review: Anthony Horowitz The House of Silk (Sherlock Holmes #10)

The House of Silk: A Sherlock Holmes Novel - Anthony Horowitz

The House of Silk is the 10th official Sherlock Holmes novel and the first to be written by author Anthony Horowitz.  Mr Carstairs receives  a note from a notorious criminal from America who has come to England looking for revenge.  Carstairs enlists the help of Sherlock Holmes to track down the criminal and the reasons for the note he has left.  In doing so Sherlock stumbles upon a great conspiracy which could threaten his liberty and possibly his life.

Sherlock and Watson are now both very old, Watson has grandchildren and Watson is looking back into the past to retell this story.  Horowitz maintains all the old aspects of a Sherlock Holmes novel that made the originals so great and does an excellent job with the character of Sherlock.  All the classic elements are included in the novel especially the Baker Street Irregulars.
